Mediation is effective, saving time and money. It is an alternative to litigation. It can avert a destructive escalation. As an immediate measure, it can serve as an emergency aid. In a second step, she creates sustainable solutions. Conflict resolution is work, but always worthwhile: mediation shows a high success rate in family, business and social conflicts.

Conflicts are part of our daily lives. They force us to face challenges. We need conflicts for personal and business growth. That's why conflicts are real opportunities.

​

On a daily basis we are used to finding solutions and acting proactively. In conflicts, we do the same way. Mediation is thus practiced by all of us. In spite of all our experience, however, it can happen that we no longer "come out" of a conflict and become more and more "involved" in it. "Why can't I solve this conflict this time, as always?" Although both parties speak the same language, we are not able to control our emotions. We are hurt and we hurt others. More and more is invested in the conflict (time, energy, money). Satisfaction is suddenly the only goal. How can it come to that, despite all reason, we sacrifice our live-quality because of a conflict? In these moments, professional help can re-activate our own conflict resolution ability.

In summary: "Mediation"

 

Mediation is a structured, voluntary procedure for the constructive settlement of a conflict in which independent "all-party" third parties accompany the conflicting parties in their solution process. The conflicting parties are trying to reach a joint agreement that meets their needs and interests. The impartial third party (mediator) makes no own decisions regarding the conflict, but is solely responsible for the proceedings.

Mediation for Couples and Teams

How does mediation work? First, a clear aim-clarification is made with the customer. Then I accompany through the process, keeping records, clarifying legal issues, and looking for individual fairness criteria. At the end, a mediation agreement with the achieved results and further steps will be written together. After about six months (or by appointment), there will be a control whether the implementation works.

Group mediation or

Group Workshops

For groups, teams, companies, organizations, departments etc..

For conflicts in larger groups, I plan group mediations or workshops that firstly help to clarify the conflict and secondly initiate the implementation of solutions. A workshop can take 2-3 days. Again, after six months (or by appointment), the implementation is re-examined.
